On tap at the brewery.
A - Pours a nice hazy raisin color with micro thin off-white colored lacing.
S - Toasted toffee, a little bit of dark fruit, and apple mead.
T - A really nice balance between toasted caramel malt and apple Mead. There's some dark fruit, raisins, a slight bit of bread crust, and finishes on the sweeter side with a subtle lingering apple Mead underneath the toasted sweet caramel base. There's a little bit of residual vanilla on the very back side.
M - Thick, viscous, silky smooth, leaves a sugary residue on the lips and some warming in the throat on the way down.
O - First time trying a beer that was aged in Mead barrels. Well worth a try.
