Notes from 2011. Had on draft.
A: pours an amber body with silky, white head with excellent retention and lacing
S: interesting, subtle floral and earthy notes; some very slight citrus notes
T: subtle, grapefruit and floral notes; not much of malt taste; could be more balanced
M: a little thin and watery; nothing too impressive
D: nice mouthfeel and taste combo; ok overall, but nothing impressive

This was on tap and Pearly Baker's in Easton and I ordered a glass because I was interested in seeing what Weyerbacher next project was like. The beer poured out as a nice looking copper with a very thin head. The aroma is hoppy and had some citrus in there too. The taste of the beer is bitter, it fades into a lemony orange flavor in there. The mouthfeel of the beer was pretty traditional, dry and bitter kinda thin, decent carbonation. Overall it's not the greatest IPA but I am glad I tried it.

Pours a bright and lightly hazed golden amber color, moderate cap of white froth. Scent is dominated by bitter grapefruit rind and pine resin, with minor notes of tropical fruits and faint biscuity malt. Taste brings bitter "west coast" pine resin and grapefuit hop notes, malt background is minimal, providing little to the taste, notes of orange and grass appear in the back. Medium bodied, quite dry and lasting bitterness. A stab at a West Coast IPA lacks the full hop character and body of most of the big guns from out west, a good beer none the less.

on tap at khyber in philly
Pours a clear burnt orange color with a fluff of white head resting on top. Dissolves to cloudy, filmy retention, leaving some patchy, streaky lacing on the glass.
Citrus hops with pine and pith in the nose. Biscuit malt and bready notes with some light sweetness driven by caramel.
Bitter and juicy with orange and grapefruit up front. Plenty of pithy citrus peel notes. Bready biscuit malt tones are pretty up front, with some caramel sweetness resting in the middle. Finishes with some tropical tones and lingering hop dryness.
Medium body, decent carbonation, sticky and prickly on the tongue. A pretty good IPA, although not particularly memorable.
