Pours nice. reddish copper hue. Nice head retention
Not much nose.
Tastes extremely watery. A little hop bitterness. You get very little of the richness of the amber. I thought this beer was bad and had a rep come check it out. "It's supposed to taste like that.... It's a session amber."
Mouthfeel has a lot of effervescence.
Finishes with an unpleasant coppery tartness.
Overall - Awful, even for an amber.

A malty amber ale, eh? Anti-hops indeed.
This is a pretty well put together beer, but it's unusual. Malty? Yes. Slight tang to things. Almost seems Flemish in its execution just a wee bit. That almost cherry and woody tone going on. Ya know what I mean?
Nice to try. Can't say I'm really sure what the aim was here, but I'm always up for trying something from Weyerbacher.

This poured out as a deep amber color with a cream colored head on top. The retention is pretty good along with some moderate lacing. The smell of the beer is earthy and mildly sweet. The taste of the beer again is mostly all malt with a hint of smoke in there also. The mouthfeel is pretty good, decent carbonation and body. Overall it's more like an Irish Red to me than an American Amber. Either way its an average brew.

Andromeda pours a translucent, slightly hazy dark chestnut hue. The initial half-inch soda-like head recedes to a thin sliver, however there is some nice clinging to the side of the glass, producing lace. The aroma contains some apricot fruit esters and a huge nose of grainy malt. For the flavor, it delivers exactly what you would expect... a big dose of bready malt. There's also a little 'roast' and a touch of that fruity ester again. The finish however, is very bitter, yet the mouthfeel is very light and watery. Overall, I am left wondering what this would be like with a bigger ABV.
