Sampled 10-28-05. Arrives in my pint a deep orange amber with a small white head on top that leaves some nice bubbles in its wake. Aromas of sweet caramel and toasty malts with a citrusy, herbal spicy hop nose as well. Pretty nice overall.
First sip brings a creamy toasted caramel maltiness that's slightly nutty with a nice helping of citrusy, spicy herbal hops that impart a nice bitterness on the way down. I get a bit of a buttery, diacetyl flavor as well which detracts a bit from the overall brew. Finishes hoppy and clean with a malty creaminess. Overall a nice Oktoberfest.
Mouthfeel was medium bodied and chewy...just enough carbonation. This one made itself be known. A tasty, easy drinking brew from Taylor that I wouldn't mind having again...one of the better brews I've sampled there.
