Belgian inspired strong pale ale, light in color with a very balanced taste. Notes of citrus, spice and esters imparted by the Noble hops and Trappist yeast.

Growler from the brewery. Smell is lovely - light with a bit of lemon peel. Belgian ale flavor - sour citrus, light bodied but somehow hiding the 8.9% punch. Dangerously drinkable. It’s springtime now, but I think it’ll be worth investigating how it plays later in the year.

Pours a clear, bright yellow colour. Smells like light banana bread, spices, citrus hops, and a little tangerine. Tastes sliightly sweet, banana, cloves, typical Belgian-yeast flavours, citrus hops, slightly bitter, easy going to 8.9%.

This the second offering I've had from Last Stand. The other, SMaSH, was very good.
Anyhow, I really enjoyed this one as well, an impressing take on one of my favorite styles. Poured from the bomber into a Spiegelau IPA glass...
Nice and thick, two-finger, micro-bubbly head. A mild haziness in its pale orange-gold color with ample but not overdone carbonation.
The nose is that familiar, classic Trappist loveliness: spices, a touch of fruitiness, maybe a flowery smell, and the hops are perfectly present.
What you smell is what you get. Taste follows nose. It's the reason you buy Belgian-styles PA or IPAs: that dank, funky, citrusy, yeasty goodness. This one is very balanced in its pronunciation of its ingredients. The overall taste is not at all hampered by the ABV.
The mouth feel is almost creamy, but not thick. It's carrying some weight, and coats whatever it touches, but not annoyingly so. The lingering aftertastes are very pleasant.
Overall: I'm getting some more of this before it disappears from the shelves.

Don't know who the other rating folks are here, but this beer is great! Hybrid of a Tripel and a Pale Ale. Oh so good!

Not very balanced, very thin and watery, the Trappist yeast really clashes with the hops and the taste just does not work. It smells nice so it has that going for it.
