Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a very lightly hazed golden amber color with a one finger head of fluffy white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving just a little bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is rather strong of a citrus smell with lots of orange, tangerine, and a good sum of grapefruit hop. Along with these smells comes a little bit of a bready smell as well as a touch of grain.
Taste – The taste begins with a nice crisp cracker malt taste mixed with some of the lighter citrus fruit sweetness that was detected in the nose. Some orange and tangerine accompanied by a bit of caramel make up the sweet and are joined by a decent showing of a grapefruit hop right from the start. The grapefruit gets stronger as the taste moves forward, all while cracker malt flavor takes on a doughier flavor. A touch of an herbal hop comes at the very end and leaves one with a nice smooth citrus taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the slightly lighter and crisper side for a brew is its abv with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the mix of citrus, malt and hop the feel is nice and accommodating, making for a rather easy sipper.
Overall – A rather tasty and very easy drinking IPA. Not overpowering at all, but smooth and very tasty.

Had on tap at Antone’s and can at Salt Lick BBQ during recent beer safari in Austin. Solid tasty IPA. Citra obviously present but surprisingly not standing out. Overall a good IPA, but nothing to pull me back.

Pours a clear golden color with a thin foamy head. Head retention is virtually non existent. Aroma is awesome. Citrus with strong piney resin. Taste is the same.

Probably one of my favorite IPAs from an Austin area brewery. Citra hops are perfect. Smell and flavor make me smile every time I have one of these beers.

Where the heck did this one come from!
Poured reddish orange. Redolent with orange zest and herbal hops that give you the impression something good is about to happen. Taste is robust yet refined with plenty of citrus and herb on display. Has a bit of grain and zest in the aftertaste and lies on the lighter side of medium.
Lots of great beers coming out of Texas, and that suits me just fine. All the more to explore.

Bottled on 3/31 and consumed on 4/2. Outrageous aroma of citrus bursts from the bottle - orange, papaya, pineapple. Pours a hazed gold with an orange hue capped by a soft white head. Lacing clings to the side of the glass. Taste is all citra - tropical fruit mixed with bright citrus and a dank and pungent finish. Guava, pineapple, tangerine are most prominent. The malt, while undetectable, keeps citrus from getting sloppy and sticky. Drinks crisp with a mild bitterness on thhr back end.

Excellent tasting SMaSH IPA (although I don't think I've ever had a SMaSH I didn't like) Bottled 1/31/17, made with Weyermann Pale Malt and Citra Hops. Nice mellow yellow color, great smell, quite a bit of fluffy white head. Another great Austin, Texas beer.
