8/22...Mickey Finn's session IPA. Light penny coppy colored with a ring of foam. Lemon citrus nose. Light gritty bitter taste. Bread notes, toffee too. Very subdued. Nice taste, light.

Serving: On tap, 4oz sampler
Served: 7 April 2015
Appearance: A light golden color with a bright white head and solid lacing. Soft streams of carbonation visible originating at the bottom of the glass.
Smell: Holy crap, the nose on this beer is excellent. Massive citrus hoppiness- lemon, lemon grass, orange rind, and grapefruit- with a slight assertion of piney and herbal hops to balance out the flavors a bit. A glorious smelling beer.
Taste: Soft sweet malts serve to carry the intensely hoppy beer. Starts off with a strong citrus kick, followed by a nice semi-sweet midpalate and finishes with a semi-dry bitterness to keep inviting back sip after sip. Hop notes are essentially the same as the nose. Extremely drinkable.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium-light body with medium-high carbonation. Extreme quaffability.
Overall: A marvelous beer from Mickey Finns, and easily one of the best-crafted true session beers I've had. Highly, highly recommended.
