Served in a mug at the brewpub.
Ah, nothing like a beer whilst celebrating an early co-birthday, an even earlier birthday, and an admission to grad school. Good times. This stuff pours a clear tawny amber topped by a half-finger of off-white foam. (I think they over-filled my glass a bit, leading to a head that was shorter than others I witnessed around me.) The nose comprises orange zest, orange peel, light toffee, sweet flowers, and light butter. The taste holds notes of mandarin oranges, butter, light toffee, orange peel, and dark greens. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a finish that really wants to be dry (but doesn't quite make it that far). Overall, a nice little maibock, but nothing that really stands out all that much. Solid example, though.

This beer pours a clear copper amber with almost no head of which to speak. The aroma is honestly rather potent for a lager. There is a sweet caramel nose to it minor hop notes are found as well. The flavor is almost dead on par with the smell. The sweetness comes through quite nicely and is honestly a really pleasant beer to sit down and enjoy. The mouthfeel is a little watery and more bitter than I would like a sweet lager to be, but it wasn't too egregious in it's faults. This was a solid Maibock. It wasn't necessarily traditionally German, but for my money it was still a very good beer.

(Served in a flat-sided glass mug)
A- This beer pours a crystal clear brown body with a slight red hue and a creamy tan head that last for a good bit as a thin film. There is a good carbonation of big bubbles gliding to the surface.
S- The smell of raw grain is soft and has a faint toast hint when it is pretty warm the finish is a bit stronger with a sulfury dry aroma but it is other wise pretty clean.
T- The taste of dry pale malt is smooth with a very slight sweet hint as it warms. There is a biter Noble hop note in the finish with a big sulfury bite.
M- This beer has a light mouthfeel with no alcohol heat noticed.
D- This beer has a big sulfury flavor that covers up the rest of the flavors as it grows with every sip. I didn't notice any toasted note in the flavor or much depth to the hops. It might have been a good session beer if the sulfur was turned down a little or had something to balance it.

Brought to the table in a tall 24 oz glass. A boldly auburn color with minimal head retention. The nose was malty and on the mild side. A malty body paired with a hint of spice makes up for the taste department. Good, enjoyable mouthfeel and carbonation. Well done here. I only had one, but could of easily had three or four if time could permit.
