on nitro-tap at the brewpub in Libertyville. pours a lightly hazy amber with a single finger of dense white head that has good retention and leaves no lacings.
aroma is of a light bouquet of fresh hop notes and a base of bready malt. the hops are mildly tropical and a bit piney. just right for an APA.
taste follows the nose with a smooth and complete character and a finish of caramel malt and some residual drying hops. pleasant on the palate with a solid smoothness from the nitro-tap.
mouthfeel is medium bodied and lightly dry on the palate with a semi-dry finish of residual wet hops.
drinkability is good. very well done on nitro-tap with a supurb smoothness that compliments the hop notes. true to a good APA with a very drinkable profile. cheers!
