Served in a nonic pint at Mickey Finn's in Libertyville, IL
The nice golden pale straw color with a thin white head head of foam that's not long for this world, as would be expected with a cask. The aroma is interesting with a smell of citrus hops with a backer of grassy floral notes. Also I believe there to be a hint of clove and coriander. The tastes is of hops, lemon, mild oaken flavor (probably from the cask). There are hints of green apple peel and other earthier tones. The mouthfeel is intentionally flat with a nice light natural carbonation. It goes down smooth enough to make it worth the effort. If so desired it is a nice summery beer. I think that in warm temps it would be a pretty nice brew to choose.

Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.
A nice start to the Mickey Finn's part of the night (post-Firkin dinner). It pours a clear pale straw topped by a half-finger of white micro-foam. The nose comprises sweet florals, grass/greens, and a slight lemon that leans toward coriander. The taste is pretty much the same, though with some additional hoppy citrus notes and a touch of lemongrass. The body is light, with a very light carbonation and a rather smooth feel (thanks to the nitro, no doubt). Overall, a nice APA, nothing overtly special, but tasty enough and more than drinkable on a nice, semi-cool night near the end of summer.
