Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.
Didn't expect to see a cask-conditioned mild on the menu tonight... It pours a dark ruby-russet-sienna topped by a half-finger of lightly ashen tan foam. The nose comprises mild toffee, very light coffee, a smidgen of dark greens, and a bit of caramel and brown sugar. The taste brings in more of the same, with nothing really taking charge, rather a true democracy of flavors being born on the tongue. Kinda inspiring, really... The body is a light medium, with a very light carbonation and a ridiculously smooth feel. Overall, a damn fine, simple, easy-going, incredibly drinkable mild. It's no wonder three of these things went down my gullet, each in less than five minutes... Good times.
