Served in a commemorative shaker pint glass at the brewpub.
It seems the guys from down at Lunar came on up here to Libertyville for a bit of a collaborative brew session. The result: a wheatwine. Get some. It pours a hazy sunrise straw-amber topped by a finger of cream-white foam. The nose comprises white bread, light orange zest, and what may or may not be a hint of cinnamon in the background. The taste brings in more of the same, with the orange really plowing through whatever inhibitions it suffered from earlier and the cinnamon coming through as nutmeg. The body is a light-leaning medium, with a very light moderate carbonation and a fluid, almost creamy feel. Overall, a pretty solid wheatwine, though not necessarily anything to get terribly excited about. On a slight side note, I am digging all of the collabs Lunar has done over the past couple years...
