Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.
Without the bit of press prepared for this beer by the brewery, I wouldn't have known just how hot Ms. Witt was/is. Gotta love what you learn from beer. Anyway, this stuff pours a partly-cloudy pale straw topped by a half-finger of white foam. The nose comprises lemon peel, light cracked wheat, and a pinch of black pepper. The taste brings in more of the same, with the lemon really trending toward the rind and bit extra pepper, coriander, and cardamom. Rindiness and spiciness duke it out over a weak wheat base. It's kinda odd, but not entirely. The body is pretty light, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, a decent little wit, but not one as impressive as its namesake. It's a bit muddled, and the fruit and spice flavors just don't combine as well as would be desired.
