EDIT// I'm surprised by the final score:
3.75 for 'Taste' and the same for 'Overall' -- and yet it still gets over 4. How a beer smells is important to me (yet it's also unimportant to me if a beer has little aroma). How a beer looks is really just icing - i.e. unimportant if other aspects good.
330ml bottle -- 8 months before sell-by date
Poured in a stein like this )_( not sure what they're called, but good for pils anyways.
L: pours a nice big head which is holds really well with lots of lacing
Looks like a kellarbier: cloudy, slightly murky pale yellow. I notice a little sediment in the bottle after pouring.
S: grassy, very strong and bitter citrus peel -- lovely
M: very smooth, almost velvety -- a little unusual for a pils, but very nice. Sometimes with pils, I think initially they're a little flat, but then I get used to the low (but steady) carbonation and it feels right.
T: taste is good, yet a bit of a let-down in that it doesnt live up to the wonderful aroma. The hops are there but relatively mild, some bitterness, the hops do come through in the finish. I end up holding each mouthful a little while to savour the citrus. There's a nice little bitterness and thick-orange-peel marmalade coming through in the swallow.
Funny, I've burped a couple of times now - and I get the full flavour as strong as in the aroma - if it only tasted as good as it burps...

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
