To be fair to this beer, I think the cask was a bit off. The underlying beer was very good, but the carbonation levels didn't seem quite right. I had this at the The Drafting Room-Exton. It also suffered in its juxtaposition to the Garnet Mild which rocked, in my humble opinion.
Dark with no head, no lace, but I'm giving it some slack in this department.
Taste seems to have some diactyl intermingling with chocalate malt flavors. Quite nice.
Mouthfeel is a disappointment for cask. Again, I think this is related to the carbonation levels.
In the end, this well-crafted beer's taste saves the day in the drinkability department. This is beer isn't thin either. It has a nice body.
