Complex, with dark fruit and caramel character. We brought in a yeast strain derived from West Flanders to accent this rich concoction.

Growler. Pours a soupy brown color. Mild, off-white head. Smells of a Dubbel. I often forget how appetizing a style off the beaten path can be...this Dubbel is inviting. Spicy Belgian yeast and fruit. Caramel and brown sugar malt. Maybe a bit of banana? Maybe a bit of bubblegum? The flavor is the same. True to style as far as my palate can decipher. Spicy, sweet, yeasty, phenolic. A Dubbel. A rare bird. Not flashy. When done right, fun to imbibe.

Excellent example of style!
Aroma: complex malt aroma dominates with raisin and some plum. Low hop aroma.
Flavor: similar to aroma (raisin and plum with strong malty backbone).
Mouthfeel is where this beer really shines! Full body with moderate carbonation and INCREDIBLY SMOOTH and CLEAN FINISH. This was an absolute pleasure to drink!
Highly recommended!
