Pour at the brewery.
Light creamy head, hazy golden honey color, little lacing.
Nose bright hops, nice citrus character, generic citrus, fresh grassy earthy hop notes, tons of centennial, little grapefruit note, little floral pine, almost marijuana like piney aroma, touch musty.
Taste brings more fresh hops, fairly spicy out front, with earthy characters, little forest floor with more pine and floral characters. Just a little citrus, and some generic fruity notes, little vinous grape skin, and must again. Turns a little pine sap with resin and dankness. Mild grainy malt base, with nice balance. Citrus kicks in more later, pith like but no grapefruit. Finish is dry and fairly bitter, lingering toasted cereal grain, earthy hop with mild citrus rind.
Mouth is med bod, decent carb, touch hop oil.
Overall ok, decent characters, nose reminds me how much I used to love centennial, but taste leaves a bit to be desired, nice balanced drinkable ipa though.

First beer I've had from Medusa, and I can't say I'm impressed. No nose whatsoever. Not much taste beyond water. I'm not really sure what they were going for with this one. Maybe IPAs aren't their thing? Will have to try some of their offerings before I level a judgment on the brewery itself, but this isn't encouraging at all.
*** UPDATE: While I stand by this review, Medusa has REALLY turned it on lately. They have some killer IPA's. I love pretty much everything they are doing. ***

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
