Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a deep golden color with a big head of white foam. The head has a great level of retention, very slowly fading over time and leaving tons of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is big of a caramel and corn like smell mixed with a graininess and some smells of yeast and earth. Along with these comes a big showing of toasted bread crumbs and some raw dough.
Taste – The taste is big of a bready and lightly toasted cracker like flavor mixed with some of caramel and a bit of toffee and butterscotch. Along with these flavors comes a bit of pear as well as a touch of earth and herb. As the taste advances the maltiness gets even more intense, all while a bit of booziness joins in. Toward the end, notes of yeast and some must and hay join in, leaving one with a very malty flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is fairly thick and chewy with a moderate carbonation level.
Overall - A little too over the top on flavor and grain for the style, giving a bit of harshness to the brew. I was hoping for something a little smoother.

On tap - Crisp, orchard fruity esters, apple, pear, apricot, light citrus, honey, biscuity crackery pale malts, toasty bread crust, a hint of black pepper spice, with moderately bitter earthy grassy floral hops, refreshing
