Cask pour at the brewery

Big foamy large bubble head fades at as med pace, pitch black beer

Nose tons of chocolate, cocoa, dark choc, little fudgey, vanilla, some pepper notes, caramel, stout dark malts, faint roasty malt and coffee

Taste brings big lush chocolate, cocoa nibs, dark choc, little fudgey, into some pepper heat just a little, faint cinnamon, faint iced coffee, vanilla, a touch nutty, baking spices, almost chewy, creamy oats, little pepper flavor and heat on the back end, sticky finish, hint of booze with the pepper heat.

Mouth is med to fuller bod, creamy, carb is lighter but ok for a cask

Overall a pretty good beer, with all the flavors I expected it to be bigger, heavier, thicker, etc, but good flavor.

From the Medusa brewery, advertised as a "Mexican Chocolate Stout" : A stout bolstered with Ecuadorian cocoa nibs, Korinjte cinnamon bark, and a blend of HabaƱero, Guajillo, and Ancho peppers. Coffee and chocolate notes up front, followed by a gentle spice and a touch of heat.

Drank a 5 oz pour at the brewery
