Swung by Medusa today for the first time with Alewife. Each had a couple of biers.... Moffat 120 for the Lady, Ransom Note for me. Was a 12oz pour for $6.00.
Glass held a clear, deep, dark chestnut hued brew. Head was a thin layer of fine, creamy beige foam, with excellent lacing. Had a nose showing some dark fruit and rindy hopping. Body was easily medium to medium-plus, and it was quite smooth.
Taste was also rather fruity, with rindy, pithy citrus, plus piney, resiny action assaulting the palate. Quite tasty!! Zum Wohl!!

Had this on a sampler flight at the brewery over the weekend. The beer was murky in appearance with a dark amber color with thick lacing. The aromas were very strong with the booze wrapped around general malts. The beer followed the nose by having warm alcohol flavoring to a generally bitter beer. The mouthfeel balanced the high alcohol with a good carbonation level, making the beer crisp. Overall, a very nice beer.
