Had this on a sampler flight at the brewery over the weekend. I guess this is a version of their Activate! brand beer that uses coffee beans from Costa Rica with the help of a coffee roaster located in Ayer, MA. The beer had a pure black appearance with a small head. In terms of aromas, I was utterly amazed by the roasted coffee aromas that had hints of cream and tea. The taste did not just follow the nose, it blew it out of the water. I was amazed by how this beer tasted; it was like a mixture of creamy dark coffee mixed with espresso. The mouthfeel aided this beer by making it very smooth and milky in texture. Overall, as a coffee drinker, I was amazed by this beer.
