With this new Belgian-style release, we've married the classic fruity esters of a traditional Abbey yeast strain to a pleasant spectrum of fruity hops: dry-hopped with Galaxy, Hull Melon, and Mandarina Bavaria.

This could be interesting. I love a good Belgian Pale, but Galaxy hops could overpower it. Canned 9/12/19

Pours a very large foamy fizzy 3 finger head that forces me to stop pouring early, a rocky white head, fades at a med pace, a little lacing, hazy pale tan color

Nose brings a nice Belgian pale out front, nice fruity esters, little pome fruit pear apple like, hint of bubblegum, bit of citrus, mixed with the big pineapple hops which thankfully don't overpower, some generic tropical, light floral potpourri phenols, with a nice sweet grainy sweet blond malt underneath, sweet almost candy like malt, light floral honey

Taste brings mild sweet grainy malts, blond sweet almost candy-like malts but not much, little cracker as well, more yeast additions, good fruity esters, with pome fruits, pear and apple, with light bubblegum, little citrus, a hint of floral phenols and some honey notes, into big hops, tropical fruit and pineapple up front, little citrus, a bit pithy and grapefruit rind, starting with med-low bitterness but ramping to a big American IPA high level bitterness late, drier finish getting a little astringent, lingering long spicy hop bitterness

Mouth is med bod, a little soft, higher effervescent carb, a bit astringent

Overall reminds me of original Raging Bitch which I loved back then, it starts with a nice Belgian Pale, then into big American hops, and this one the tropical and pineapple come through nicely and accent the esters, the malts balance everything nicely, my only gripe is that it gets too bitter and a bit astringent on the finish, otherwise this would be close to 4.5 averaged.

Canned on 9/12/19; drank on 9/29/19; not the most traditional Belgian pale but a decent beer nonetheless; from the Medusa website: "With this Belgian-style release, we've married the classic fruity esters of a traditional Abbey yeast strain to a pleasant spectrum of fruity hops: dry-hopped with lush and tropical Galaxy, Hull Melon, and Mandarina Bavaria."
