Ruby brown color. Seemingly clear. Decent bar poured head but it recedes to rim bubbles and leaves no lacing.

Traditional dark, slightly sour cherry nose. Light maltose sweetness, perhaps molasses. I also pick up on brown bread.

There’s an interesting bitterness toward the front of the taste which deviates from the Flemish versions. Otherwise, this is an excellent representation of the true style. Lots of sour, dark cherry and far less (if any) sweetness detected in the smell. The body and carbonation are true to the style as well. Relatively short aftertaste.
