An Ice Cold IPA made with Canadian Favourites Collective Arts brewing, and one of the best Melbourne bars around - Heartbreaker. Fermented at colder temperatures with big piney hop aromas. Best consumed ice cold for maximum refreshment

Purchased at Blackman's Grovedale brewery in July 2024 and drunk a week later.
L: It's slightly hazy in the glass, with a golden yellow hue, bright white, fluffy head, but almost no carbonation to be seen.
A: The nose has melon, grape and quite a kick of fruitiness, which becomes the dominant note as the beer warms. There's definitely none of the big, piney aromas the can's blurb assures me are present.
T: The melon vibe remains in the mouth with the addition of juicy fruit gum and a touch of lemony citrus. It's quite sweet and refreshing as a result, and really quite tasty. It's far more expressive in taste profile than aroma. It finishes sweet with a bit of a hoppy kick but is not overly bitter. The 6.5% is very well hidden. Ironically, despite the can's exhortation that I drink the beer ice cold for maximum refreshment, I found the beer far more tasty, aromatic and refreshing as it warmed in the glass.
M: The body of the beer is soft and full, and carbonation and carbonic bite are minimal.
O: There was a slow start in the aroma and taste stakes out of the can, but the beer opened up terrifically as it warmed and was ultimately very enjoyable.
Cheers!
