Blackman's Brewery birthday beer. 10 hop additions for 10 years of Blackman's Brewery to bring out the flavours. All our favourite hops have gone into this IPA to give a whizzbang of tropical passionfruit and lime.

This was purchased at the source in Grovedale in August 2024 and drunk a few weeks later.
L: Bright golden amber with a big, frothy, bright-white head. Abundant carbonation streams up the glass. This is a good-looking beer.
S: All of the tropical fruits are present. Pine and lime dominate, but there are also big strawberry, guava and melon hits. Nice!
T: Tastewise, it's a little more muddled with an overall dank, tropical profile. Grapefruit is the leading player, but there's a general melange of flavours that overcomes all. It's not bad, but it's nowhere near the wow factor of the nose.
M: Very smooth in the mouth with low carbonation but quite the carbonic kick on the swallow. There's a fair bit of hop-burn on the way down, too.
O: I enjoyed this one and finished it much quicker than usual, especially as I spent more time sticking my nose in the glass than drinking from it!
Cheers!
