This was a Father's Day present in September 2025, drunk in October that year.

L: The beer is that sort of neon, sort of cloudy, sort of pineappley, sort of washed-out custardy yellow colour that big hazy beers tend to take on. The head is bright white, but quickly dissipates into a thin rim around the edge of the glass and the top of the beer. No carbonation is visible in the glass.

S: It's like I went to put my nose in the glass and someone grabbed my head and pushed it deep into a bowl full of chunks of ripe citrus, pineapple, guava and honey.

T: The taste is peach, nectarines, mango, guava and lychee; it's a big tropical punch in the face, so basically think of a tropical taste descriptor and you're pretty much on point. At first, there's a definite sweetness, but after a while it tends to hang around long after the swallow, balanced only by the touch of hop burn at the end and some numbness in the mouth from the hop load. On top of that, a sticky, resinous, overripe citrus peel and lychee note covers the mouth by the time you're halfway through the can.

M: The beer is thick, pillow soft and low on carbonation, but with a surprising bite on the swallow.

O: This is tasty, but a little too unbalanced towards the sweet end, with not enough heft or body to compensate.

Cheers!
