This is a straw-colored refreshing session ale with a light body and hint of hops. An easy drinking brew and a great introduction to craft beer for those who have yet to cross over! Perfect as a Deep South summer ale, pairs well with just about anything you can pull of the grill and is especially good to as an accompaniment to a crawfish boil.

Bluff City has a thin-to-medium fizzy white head, a mostly clear, gray-blond appearance, and minimal lacing. The aroma is of cracker and grass, but the flavor is of tart citrus. Mouthfeel is low to medium, and Bluff City finishes mostly dry.

It pours a light golden color with a small head. Smell is of grains with a sweetness to it. The taste is light and smooth, mouthful is a bit watery but pleasnat. Overall a nice drink but a little on the light side for me.

Clear gold color with good white cap and moderately good lacing.
Aroma of sweet malt and floral, spicy hops.
A lighter flavor profile in the sense of a quenching, food beer rather than a "light" one. Hops emerge shortly after entry and last through the finish. Slightly sweet malt presence throughout. Clean finish and no bitterness in the aftertaste.
Texture is light medium with balancing carbonation.
A good effort overall though it doesn't really trump a lot of others in the same general category. Perhaps if I get a chance to sample it at the brewery I may find a bit more substance.

Poured into a snifter.
A: A clear golden with an off-white half finger head that dissipates fast. Light lacing.
S: Light malts, grain, honey.
T: Smooth, sweet, summery, inviting. A step above other blondes I've tried. I think the bit o' honey aspect really brings this one to life.
M: Medium with medium carbonation.
O: Glad to finally track this elusive little blonde down and spend some time with her. Well worth the extra mile. Good work, Pat.
