L- Pours a beautiful, hazy orange color. About the haziest beer I've seen in Mississippi. Looks like some damn orange juice. I'm pumped to try this type of beer for the first time, and even more pumped that it's brewed in my home state of Mississippi. I'm also a fan of haze.
S- I'll save the facade that I know what I'm talking about, and just say that it smells funky. Y'all know what I'm talking about. If I had to say, I'd say I'm picking up plantains and breadiness.
T- It's certainly an interesting taste! I'm a rookie in this style of beer, but I'll give it a shot. On the front end it is quite tart, almost like some sort of berry, yet on the tail end it becomes somewhat sweet like that of a plantain. Being a Belgian ale, of course it's really bready- I know that much. The aftertaste is almost like that of a sour, which is something that I dig.
F- I'd say medium bodied, and I would have to agree with the guy below me that it is almost like a dry white wine at times. That's gotta be the accurate description I've been searching for. Kudos to you, dude.
O- Although this was my first Belgian Tripel, I gotta say it was really good. And yes, I am accounting for my Mississippi bias. This is the first beer I have had from Natchez and I gotta say I can't wait to visit the brewery and taste all of their other beers! Mississippi craft beers are on the rise and the people of Natchez are proving that in creating beers that are uncommon to our area (Distributing companies suck!).
300: THIS. IS. NATCHEZ!!!

A: Dark golden color, mostly clear. Fluffy white head that left lacing down the glass.
S: Yeast, funk, berry-like pungent esters.
T: Starts with a phenolic sweetness that turns into an almost raspberry tart. Aftertaste is fruity, sour, with lingering hints of the phenolic banana that you first taste.
M: Heavily carbonated, light to medium bodied. Feels and somewhat tastes like a dry white wine at times.
O: Great beer. The taste is wonderfully complex, and it was a perfect choice to bring in the New Year. I had bottle 604 of the 1000 that were brewed.

On tap in the VIP room at the Hattiesburg Beer Fest. (Pat and Lisa said I should try it, so I snuck in----worth it!)
A: A hazy golden with half finger off-white head that lingered.
S: Belgian yeast, fruity esters, bananas.
T: Sweet, fruity with Belgian yeast and attitude. Clove, banana. A very flavorful punch of fruity freshness on the finish.
M: Medium with medium, dry carbonation.
O: A terrific Tripel. Worthy of a tri-centennial celebration.
