First impression from a bottle:
Light, thin, a bit weak. Hop profile isn't memorable...pretty generic (floral hops and that's kind of it). Attenuation seems off.
Appearance-wise, there's a big chunk of lees floating in it. Maybe I got an older bottle but I don't reckon so.
It's drinkable - just lacks pungency and depth of hop flavour. Both are pretty major factors in the brewing of a good IPA.
This is about what I expected...this is what you get when brewers in the U.S.A.'s poorest state try their hand at trendchasing.

Bottled 4/24/18. Purchased in Jackson, MS as a single for $1.85.
Pours a polite, light blonde color with a towering toothpaste-thick head of white, leaving tons of lace and destroying the glass.
Aroma is bright and fruity, with fresh pineapple, orange, mango, and doughy bread.
It must be the water. It's gotta be the water. Every region's IPA's taste inherently similar, and this one's got that Mississippi flavor. It's slightly dirty, but has a crystal clean quality on the finish. Flavors of orange peel, pineapple core, biscuit, very faint caramel malt to supplement, an earthy almost-turning-but-not-quite hop flavor, and a faint bit of pine on the finish.
Feel is crisp, slightly earthy/dirty but that crystal clean finish. It's Mississippi beer. Faint resins hanging out near the tippy toe edge.
Overall a really good IPA, lovely bright fruity notes with that doughy biscuit malt, and the water profile is so familiar as of late. Absolutely jaw-dropping how much effect water supply has on regional flavor. Biloxi Brewing has this same signature, as does Lazy Magnolia, as does Parish, as does Chandeluer...etc etc. You'd think it was contract brewed. Not the case. Still, check this beer out even if it fades to the background with all of the choices. It's worth checking out.

Pineapple galore with mango in the back end. I dig the hop combos but wish the fruits were toned down a bit. This beer is super fizzy of the bottle. Medium light body. Dry citrus bitter aftertaste.

The only IPA at the hotel bar in Oxford MS. A pineapple bomb. The pineapple taste was so overwhelming I couldn't finish it. Not sure if this was just a bad batch, but would not try it again to find out.

Old Capital IPA has an oddly fizzy, thick, racing head of foam, a hazy, yellow-gold appearance, some lazy bubbles, and a bit of glass lacing. Aroma is of sharp, resinous, citrusy hop oil and white bread. Taste is the same, with acidic, stinging (citrus) bitterness. Mouthfee is thin-to-medium, and Old Capital finishes mostly dry. In some ways, this is reminiscent of session IPAs.

Hazy, deep, apricot orange yellow color which is more attractive than it sounds. Clumpy, bumpy big white head.
Strong aroma of juicy, fruity hops with some sort of grapefruit/pineapple thing going on.
Taste is surprisingly mind considering the aromatic hop hit. On entry the hop flavor is apparent without hop bitterness. Malt is almost equally present but it's the flavor, and I mean flavor, of hops that abound. IBU is listed as 70 and I believe it but would've expected a ton of bitterness but, not. It's as if bitterness has been stripped out and flavor left behind. Starts, continues and finishes dry leaving a refreshing zing of hops in the aftertaste.
Texture is medium with balancing carbonation.
After finishing my review I checked to make sure about the IBU and was surprised to find the brewer describes color and hops using the same words I did. My reviews are a matter of first impressions and I draw comparisons with what springs to mind. My Son says my brain is a repository of esoterica. I tell him it's a font of wisdom and he should be listening rather than talking. Any parent understands that.

Poured into tulip. Nice white, finger width head.
Very cloudy apricot color, like a NE style IPA.
Smell is tropical. Pineapple and mango.
Flavor follows the nose with little bitterness. The bottle says West coast and Southern hemisphere hops.
A very well done IPA worth seeking out. Cheers!
