Pours pitch black in the glass with light tan ring of head. Can see some light come through around the edges. Stains the glass brown with a swirl. Nose is wafts of bourbon, oak, char, smoke, tobacco, notes of vanilla, chocolate, some mild dark fruit notes. Taste is big, rich bakers chocolate, bourbon warms all the way down, boozy, vanilla, wood, not getting much dark fruit. Smooth, silky mouth feel but not chewy. Overall, a shining example of a big, boozy, bourbon soaked non adjunct stout. Very well crafted, although maybe slightly lacking on balance. Fantastic!
