poured from a 750mL bottle into a SP stemmed Zwanze Day glass. pours a dark brown but gathers in the glass near black with a tiny dark brown foam cap. wonderful aromas of bourbon, heavy chocolate and peppery / rye spice. taste follows but this one somehow smells a little better than it tastes. it’s pretty chocolate forward and not as much barrel one the taste as on the nose. medium-full mouthfeel that’s a little lower on the carb. pretty good beer. glad to have tried.
