Having this beer on tap at the brewery, this beer draws a clear, light golden color with a nice white head that’s about an inch thick one first drawn and served. Head eventually settles to a nice thick ring lining the inside of the glass along with a nice thick film layer coat of surface foam and some pretty solid lacing. Aromas of some bready malts along with some tart berry and melon fruit notes along with some yeasty esters and a hint of barnyard funk. The taste is quite similar, with bready malts along with berry tart and melon fruit notes that give a nice bit of a sour note along with summer use de, barnyard funkiness. Do I detect lactobacillus? Why yes, I think I do. The mosaic hops this beer is dry hop with give a nice dryness and just a hint of bitterness that nicely integrates with the other flavors. A very balanced flavor profile all around. As a crisp, smooth, somewhat dry of course, medium bodied mouth feel with light to moderate carbonation. All of the flavors, along with the dryness, coat my palate quite nicely and linger for a while after each sip for the aftertaste. A very nice beer here. Quite happy I got the chance to try it.
