Dark Reverb is our take on a classic Czech lager recipe. In this case, our input signals are four distinct German malts: two base and two roasted varieties, and saaz hops. Sip, reverberate, repeat…

Having this beer on tap at the brewery, this beer draws a Very dark brown color with a white head that’s about half an inch thick on first drawn and served that settles fairly quickly to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass along with some nice big cluster swirls of film layer surface foam. Not much lacing though. Aromas of roasted, bready malts, a bit of chocolate, a bit of roasted nuts, and some dank, slightly resinous, herbal hops. The taste is pretty much the same, with the aforementioned roasted, bready malts, a bit of chocolate, and some dark, resinous, herbal hop Norse that give just the right amount of bitterness for a beer of the style. The level of roast in the malts here is absolutely perfect. No burnt, acrid notes to be found at all here. Has a crisp, although smooth, slightly chewy, medium to full body mouth feel with light to moderate carbonation. All of the flavors linger nicely on my palate for awhile after each sip for the aftertaste. This beer is truly an excellent representation of this style.
