This session IPA needs some body behind it. It's like drinking water with a little IPA flavoring added. The color is definitely a little lighter than other IPAs, but this could be better.

On tap at the brewery, it looked like all other SC IPA’s and carried a nice cloudy gold color with a foamy 1-2 finger thick head that faded slowly and left very nice spotty lacing. Aroma was very basic with lots of citrus notes mixed with biscuit and faint floral notes. Orange peel and light grapefruit came through the most in the nose.
Flavor like the nose was citrus dominant and had grapefruit, light orange peel, floral hints, mild tangerine and then some biscuit or cracker. A real nice session beer that seems maltier than most Sand City IPA’s.

Pours with a big two finger white head. Tasty session from sand city. That said sessions are far from my style. We’ll craft and full of flavor for a session.

this was put up a week ago, so bear in mind that this is WAY over the hill by now if you are a level 7 beer geek such as myself, but for the avg wannabe cicerone this would still be considered fresh.
was never a big fan of session ipas in general since they seem to be watered down ipas, but this definitely has some meat to it. I'd still rather stick w the full bodied ipas over these low abv cousins. nice offering if ya dig the session ipa thing. way bigger body than you would expect, flavor is also chunky hop.
