On tap at Rochester Beer Park in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark brown, almost black, with a small white head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like chocolate syrup, heavy smoke, nuttiness, and caramel.
This is a bit too smokey, and borders a little bit of plasticky/band-aid phenols. The base is nice and chocolatey, though, which works, with a nice nuttiness and caramel bready sweetness.
This is medium bodied, very creamy, with a decent level of drinkability, despite the slightly unpleasant smokiness.
If the smokiness was tamed and toned down a little bit, this would be much better.

Had on tap at the brewery. Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with a thin tan head that left little lacing. Smells and tastes of hickory smoke, dark roasted malts, nut, toffee and a hint of coffee. The smoke is very well done as it is not over-powering. Body is on the light side, very light carbonation, smooth mouth feel.

swung by the brewery for some fresh hops and had to give this a whirl. as a fan of a good smoked porter, this one is worth the pour. silky mouthfeel w just a small smack of campfire smokiness. it really compliments the beer. slays capt Lawrence smoked porter which is a fav. worth checking out but yeah the smoke is present.

-tap pour into a tulip: pale brown with some welcome froth. The smoke level was just right, not too much and not too sweet or cloying. The flavor and body were lighter than my preference for a porter.
