Served in a footed pilsner glass from the can.

Appearance: Hazy almost opaque oranged tinted yellow that is almost opaque through the body.

Smell: Heavy hop aroma, feel like I'm inhaling the hop pellets like a line of white powder.

Taste: Semi sweet orange with heavy malt. It is juicy but not as juicy as I expected.

Mouth: Medium bubbles with a sticky dry body.

Overall: Good brew but still trying to figure out the mango. I love fruited IPAs, but this one is more like a dash of that tropical sweetness which I was craving.

Traded for this a while ago, but unsure when as there wasn't a date on the bottom of the can. If you like mango, then this beer would certainly be for you as it was full of that and as soft as could be! Toss in an extra juicy mouthfeel and the end result was a brew that went down effortlessly!

Good pour to this as the liquid was a dark mango not a lot of head to top it off as the cobweb-like bubbles didn't last or or come across as overly thick. No lacing could be seen down the side of my pint glass once I worked my way through this as the liquid was a bit thinner than I would have liked. Mango, apricot, and white grape were found in the nose as the taste was a bit more enjoyable and nuanced. Juicy, slick, and dank, it felt tropical with a lot of similarities on the palate to fruit salad. The carbonation was light, but brisk, with basic malt and quite a bit of fine, sandy sediment on the bottom of the liquid once this fully settled.

The mount of booze in this was on the money and the herbal, lemon-zesty finish was just enough of a hook to leave me wanting more while making this more than one-dimensional. Fans of this style of beer or Sand City will enjoy this and how accessible it was - even after getting past it's humorous name! Fun stuff that deserves to be dated for freshness...

I first had this beer last summer and it was incredible. However I recently had it again when it was rereleased and it wasn’t nearly the same as before. Don’t know what they changed in the recipe, but it wasn’t for the better.

Appearance: Arrives cloudy and honey colored; decent retention and lacing action

Smell: Mango, of course, grapefruit, guava and lemon zest; very bright

Taste: Very juicy, with the mango dominant, grapefruit and lemon zest bitterness builds, and a piney character intrudes; dank and bitter, after the swallow and into the rather dry finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Another winner from Sand City and that finishes up my tour of this brewery that will be making some noise in the craft beer scene for their deft capabilities in the IPA world
