Semi-translucent body, light gold in color; spiffy micro bubbles of carbonation; incredibly dense and creamy white head. Soft sweetness on the nose; muted mango and orange; freeze dried strawberry. Muted citrus and yellow pitted fruit flavors; watermelon and honey dew melon; aptly suited hop bitterness, unobtrusive yet providing some nice contrast. Heavy body yet with a delicate silkiness; mildly slick and juicy; slight note of alcohol dryness but semi-sweet feel overall.

For a double IPA coming in at 8.2% ABV, this is one subtle and nicely flavored beer.

Poured into a 13 oz Teku glass not sure when it was canned, but I trust TheIPAHunter and am sure 4 weeks at most. Pours a slightly cloudy orange with a finger sticky white head that leaves plenty of thin webs of lace as it slowly settles. 4.5

Smell passion fruit, tangerine, papaya, herbal earthy undertones, and apricot. 4.5

Taste follows passion fruit, papaya, tangerine, again only can describe it as slightly herbal and clean and crisp, with a little apricot that sticks to the palate after each sip. 4.5

Mouthfeel is about medium, a tad sticky not dry, a little more carbonation than NEDIPAs and it works great, and at 8.2% really drinkable. 4.5

Overall this is an excellent DIPA, reminds me a little of Second Fiddle or Sip Of Sunshine, not a true NEDIPA but still juicy and crazy tasty. 4.5

2018 Beeradvocate IPA Fest. Maybe my favorite beer there. Perfect NEIPA look. Flavors and nose hit the mark, too. Probably tried 75 beers at the fest and they mostly all tasted the same. This one I remembered as being one of the best.

Poured from a 16oz can into a Speiglau IPA glass.

Look is a pale extremely hazy yellow with a thin dense white head.

Aroma is an intense tropical citrus.

Taste is a pithy bitter tropical like a tiki drink.

Taste: Moderate bitterness, grapefruit, mango, melon, peppery, grass with hints of pineapple and sweetness.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Overall: Nice with good aromas and taste.

L - very hazy peach colour, nice white head

S - just as I open the can, the great aroma of tropical fruits and stone fruits is present. It's a bit more complex when you come closer. Dank guava and papaya, citrus as kumquat

T - Amazing, really amazing taste. Incredibly complex. Maybe the biggest complexity I've had in a NEIPA. Okay so the tropical fruits from mosaic are here in the background but upfront you've got kumquat, pink grapefruit, bergamote and a enormous lichee presence. A certain herbal character is noted too. A very original profile. Some Sauvignon notes are present with a floral profile. I think I'm in love with galaxy hops. A certain bitterness is present. We didn't talk about the cereal profile but you can't have any balance without it. Silky oat and velvety wheat, some golden promise? Nice.

M - Silky and juicy this IIPA is never thick or syrupy. It's dry and perfectly carbonated

O - This is not some hop juice, this is a beer, a real one and a damn fine one. Amazing stuff

Pours a hazy orange with thick, creamy foam that leaves quite a lot of lacing.

Smell is perfect. Juicy and tropical, with big waves of peaches, melon, grapefruit and some vanilla rolling up your nostrils.

Taste takes everything you loved from the smell and fuses it with a pretty powerful bitterness. Long, lingering finish.

Mouthfeel is medium, soft and pillowy. Well carbonated.

Overall, an elite NE DIPA. One of the very best I've had.

On tap. Herbal hop notes, dank, cheesy. Sweetish, hoppy, sweaty, dank hops, herbal bitterness on the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Citrusy hops, a bit astringent, dry, easy drinking.

-hazy dep amber tap pour with a thin cap of fine foam. Lace rings mark each draw. The aroma is of tropical fruit. The flavor is that of a rich, bitter orange soda. The flavor and mouthfeel are full. The hop bitterness is moderate and pleasantly persists.

L - Golden orange, murky body, finger of white head

S - Blood oranges, clementine, dank hop juice

T - Follows the nose. Citrus is very sweet and the bitter bite is what caps everything off

F - Full body with creamy texture. No alcohol. Bitterness lingers.

O - Good tag team of citrus and dank hops.

Medium gold body is opaque as fruit juice. Into a nonic pint kicked up three fingers of off-white foam, and left lots of messy lace behind...

Whoa. Sharp and tangy, biting but fruity... Presents impressions of fruits both tropical and orchard... Has that citric acidity, but also a cutting bitterness... Ample carbonation lightens a medium-weight body...

This a is a great beer. Galaxy and Mosaic hops working magic together. New England-stylings are apparent. Stands toe-to-toe with brews from Other Half and Trillium.

Lotsa soft fruits, smoothied together - with a bittered edge of green unripeness - spell-check indicates I just made up four words but you know what I mean, right? Sweeter initially, but closes with drying bitterness and a tangy shellac on the palate... Super-soft and kinda creamy after a while; soft carbonation and tingly prickles... A fave...

From yesterday's can release, it pours cloudy orange gold color with a solid 1 finger foamy white head that dissipated very slowly and leaves excellent foamy lacing coating the sides and rings as it went down. Classic New England IPA looks and on par for the Sand City ONE series. They are spoiling us with great looking ONE brews.

Smells like grapefruit, pineapple, melon and orange juice blended together, with some brown sugar, biscuit, wheat bread toast and graham cracker mixed in for good measure. It is dank and hoppy with tropical fruit, a wave of piney hops, herbs, lemon zest, weed, fresh floral hops, yuzu, a mimosa aroma and then peppery spices. Really nice to inhale.

Tastes like it smells but with more pronounced flavors of citrus hops including grapefruit, pineapple, melon, lemon, yuzu, tangerine and orange juice mixed together, followed by biscuit, caramel, graham cracker, buttered wheat bread toast, a dash of garlic, herbs and fresh cut grass. The trailing flavors are green apple and then tropical fruit which resembles light peppery spices like coriander. The beer fades with a grapefruit juice coating that is on the dry side and so hopped up that it seems like honey was drizzled in. It's really well balanced and almost perfect.

Mouthfeel is slick and buttery smooth, almost oily even, with a mild bitterness that mellows out and coated my tongue with a sweet residue that was part graham cracker and part orange juice. Nice feel, prefect level of citrus bite and it covers the ABV up completely. Everything I look for in a DIPA.

Overall it's fantastic and neck and neck with Infinity + ONE, equal to or even a notch above Second Wave and Even Mo Mofo. Some Sand City beers come out too bitter to start, but this was perfect and very tasty. Masterful use of Galaxy and Mosaic hops, very similar to Infinity + ONE but a little more refined and smoother so fresh in the can. Bravo.

10/21/2017-Had my last can of this and it held up after a month. Sand City makes them dank and built to last.

Immediately reminds me of this year's batch of Headroom from Trillium. Very Mosaic-forward in both a fruity (mango, papaya, grapefruit) and dank (weed, herbal) way with that classic fresh ONE series grassy/bitter Galaxy contribution. It's not as sweet as Headroom (and not as malt-forward as the OG Infinity+1, IIRC), but there is minimal astringency on the finish and no 'burn' from excessive hopping, as I picked up in fresh Headroom. I think this beer will be insanely good in 2-3 weeks when the grassy/bitter/veg notes turn fruity and the sweet, rich, caramel-y malt that is hiding deep underneath the hops emerges a bit more.

This is an exact replica of Haze from Treehouse. Incredible scent as you pop the can, dank for days, like taking a hit (you know what I mean). The first couple of sips are super sweet and bitter at the same time, very complex and aromatic. The mouthfeel tapers off and you just crave the next sip after another. Highly recommended, I'll be keeping all of these to myself.
