Smooth pineapple taste, this has been one of the better releases by Sand City over the past few weeks.

Bought on day of release at the brewery tasting room, came in a 4-pack of 16oz cans.
Pours a opaque pineapple yellow color with a thin head. On the nose, the pineapple whacks you in the face, along with a pleasant pine note in the background. The pineapple dominates the nose. On the taste, very dense pineapple flavor, but the carbonation keeps it from being like drinking pure juice. There's a brightness to the acidity, and a moderate thickness to the mouthfeel. The hops come up quickly after the initial juice hit, and the bitterness cuts through the sweetness. On the finish, the texture thins out in a good way (so it doesn't over-coat your palete), and there is a lemon peel note along with the lingering hoppy bitterness.
Overall a really excellent collab IPA that focuses on a very distinct fruit character. If you don't like pineapple, don't bother with this one, but if you're a fan then you'll really enjoy it. I think there is a tiny bit of alcohol spike here that might blow over after sitting in the can for a week or two, so this might be one to buy and sit on for a few days.

Aroma pineapple big time. Nice lacing as always with sand city. Pours golden. Taste big pineapple, orange, mango and banana. Super crushable. Great collaboration.

Brewing anything with pineapple and pulling it off is tough. Nailed it.

Sand City/Finback collab, 8% abv DIPA, "refermented on heaps of pineapple," double dry hopped with Mosaic and Azacca hops... 11/25 release... Opaque pineapple-orange juice-looking beer with a finger or two of head on top and some thin lacing left behind... Bursting with tropical juiciness, pineapple at the fore, underscored with elements suggesting orange and mango... Smooth and soft, tingly with tanginess - another entry into that beer fruit juice smoothie category... Excellent stuff...
