A: The beer is hazy and a bit pale yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that quickly died down, leaving lots of lacing down the sides of the glass and a narrow collar around the edge.
S Moderate aromas of passion fruit are present in the nose along with notes of pineapple and papaya with hints of pine.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of tropical fruits and little to no bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied, crisp and a bit juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this IPA to be more complex compared to other beers that use Vic Secret as a single hop.

Pours a cloudy light golden-yellow color with a one inch, well retained white head that left excellent lacing. Smell is citrus fruits, pineapple, sweet malts, a bit of pepper and grapes. Tastes of grapefruit, lemon, lime, pineapple, pepper, mild sweet malts, grapes and a mild grass flavor. Medium bodied and carbonated, moderate bitterness, dry finish.

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a Sam Adams custom taster; no production information, but purchased at the brewery on 06/30/19.
A: Pours a hazy, but by no means opaque, dark golden color with a one finger, white head, rim retention, but luxurious lacing.
S: Aromas of lime, coriander, pine, and white pepper predominate, although shot through with course grains. There is also a chardonnay note.
T: Semidry. Flavors definitely follow the nose, but with more spice and conifer, medium grain, and low citrus (more lemon honestly). Solid, solid bitterness holds this brew back from anything more than semidry and that may be an overestimate of its sweetness.
M: Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation.
O: Stylistically, in a blind taste test, I would have thought this was from Trillium, because of its flavor characteristics. That said, it doesn't quite strike me as belonging in the NEIPA category, as much as simply a hazy, WCIPA. That said, I drank it and enjoyed it, so there's that.

A pale yellow color on the pour with a decent white head and cloudy clarity. Lots of citrus on the nose but not overly floral. The initial sips hit with more of those citrus hop notes but also some spicy ones as well. Rather smooth on the flow with subtle bitter on the finish. Notes of lemon, orange, and grapefruit seem to dominate. I get the spicy tones on the finish with additional notes of pine, grass, and resin. A moderate body that drinks with a juicy feel.
Overall, not my favorite single hop but this is a well made beer.

From a 16oz can, dated 06/18/19. Served in a cervoise.
Pours a lightly hazed lemony gold with two fingers of lathery head. Retention is excellent, leaving a thick webbery of lacing.
The aroma is soft and delicate, mildly sweet and softly tart. Hard lemon candies and crackers.
The taste is more assertive and robust than the nose led me to expect. The lemon is gone, replaced by hard pineapple, juicy jungle fruits, a squeeze of lime and substantial sappy, boozy pine bitterness, over dense and doughy sweet malt.
Feel is smooth and juicy, medium bodied and brightly carbonated. Super-easy drinking.
Overall, a rather excellent single-hop IPA. I guess I lazily think of Vic Secret as sort of like Galaxy’s little brother but there is no lack of flavor or complexity here. Nice job.

Typical NEIPA setup. Good retention and lacing. Dank pine, herbal and tropical notes. Clean doughy malt and crisp carbonation provides clean mouthfeel with slightly dry finish.

Tall can....2/2/18
Great looking shade of yellow squash soup, fully hazed/clouded, lasting fluffy cap...splattered tiny bits of fine lace all over the glass.....NEIPA all the way
Sniff and palate are full of over ripe pineapple, I also get some biting tea, resiny pine and lime notes....mighty fine take on the style.....full flavor, full burst of freshness.....Sand City is turning out top quality haze/juice bombs....but you knew that
