Pours an opaque orange with a finger and a half of white head. Head is dense with good. Aroma is orange, papaya, mango, guava, and biscuit, bread, and pale malts. Lovely sweetness balanced with doughy malts. It never leans too hard either way. Flavor profile is guava, tangerine, papaya, and mango focusing wholly on tropical fruits. Biscuit and pale malts lay underneath, forming a subtle foundation for the acrobatics and fireworks from the hops. Mouth feel is a little fuzzy with a light effervescence. It has a medium viscosity. Overall, big tropical fruit notes balanced well with malts. It's lightly effervescent texture is a welcome change to the normal NE IPAs.

Served in a 12oz snifter from a 16oz can.

On tap at Himmeriget.

Pours like hazy OJ, with soft, lovely foam.

Smell is ridiculous, I could smell it as it was being poured. Massive amounts of mango and pineapple and some sweet vanilla.

Taste is just as impressive as the nose. A huge, tropical wave hits your senses, with mango and pineapple surfing along. Some vanilla is coating the board as well. In its wake follows a superb bitterness and hop bite, making the balance pretty much perfect.

Mouthfeel is medium, soft ad pillowy, well carbonated.

Overall, wow. This actually made me do a double take on the first sip. World class.

On tap. Sweet, juicy, sweaty hops. Sweet, juicy, fruity, quite dank and sweaty hop flavors. Some grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium body and carbonation, quite dry. Easy drinking but a bit sweet.

Released on Monday of this week, this pours cloudy gold orange color with a thick 2 finger head that had bubbles of all sizes in a whipped frothy head that dissipated very slowly and left really nice rings of foamy lacing as it went down.

Smells of pineapple, grapefruit, peach, lemon zest, orange juice, tangerine, melon, caramel, toasted grains, light peppery spices, guava, tropical fruit and papaya. Super fresh smelling, the citra hops are spot on in this brew.

If I didn't know any better I'd say I was drinking a DDH brew from Trillium. That being said, the flavor is delicious with a nice tart start with grapefruit, fresh squeezed orange juice, lemon, ripe melon, pineapple, guava, peach, coriander, biscuit, light peppery spices, dry chalky yeast and a burst of tropical fruit and malty sweetness as it starts to fade. It's very well balanced, hides the ABV perfectly and goes down much easier than it should for a DIPA. Sand City has been kicking ass all year (2018) and this is one of the better offerings that's ready to drink ASAP and not too green. All is right in the universe again since the Sand City tasting room is back open and the new beers are released on a regular basis.
