Pours a cloudy light orange with a half inch, well retained white head that left ample spotty lacing. Smells of citrus and tropical fruits, a hint of pepper and some sweetness that I cannot identify. Tastes of orange, lime, grapefruit, pineapple, sweet malts, pepper and some bready malts. Medium bodied and carbonated, smooth mouth feel and low bitterness.

Canned 05/30/18 with "MO OATS" on the side, it pours cloudy dark apricot color with a 2 finger foamy off white head that faded slowly really nice foamy spotty lacing. The lacing looked like leopard spots.
Smells of tangerine, lemon zest, grapefruit, papaya, and lots of citrus fruit, then some floral notes, biscuit, light peppery spices, coriander, faint caramel and graham cracker pie crust. Really nice balance, and while I'm not sure if oats were used in the mix it would make sense if they were as the malty backbone tames the citrus hops.
Flavor is not as hoppy as expected for a Sand City DIPA, but the taste is full of citrus with grapefruit, lemon, orange juice, pineapple and a fine level of bitterness that trails off with piney notes, coriander, toasted grains, biscuit and bread crust. The malty backbone adds a solid sweetness presence that balances out the zesty citrus. Mouthfeel is super smooth and almost creamy, this hides the ABV well and goes down easy, drifting down the ol’ gullet.
