Pours very hazy to cloudy gold color with a 2+ finger foamy white head that was packed with bubbles of all sizes, fading on the slow side and leaving a cloudy layer on top. Smells of wheat, roasted grains, green apple, lemon zest, fruit punch, hay, leaves, and wet horse hair. Tastes like it smells but with more earthy notes, barnyard dirty/musty accents and tart fruity accents. The dryness in the mouthfeel must come from the dry hopping, but this does not bring much to the taste except for additional floral and peppery spice hints.
The ABV listed on the can is 4.5% so to me this is a Gose, since the American Wild Ale style category to me seems wrong. There is no brett or funky yeast, nothing sour or oaky and really no fruity notes that act as a dominant character. This was average at best and seemed like the Sand City Enough Already series.
