While it's a little early for a pumpkin beer, I decided to try it. It looks the same dark orange with a white head like so many other pumpkins. The aroma isn't strong, and the flavor has more of a burnt sugar taste than expected pumpkin sweetness. It's not awful, but I've had better pumpkin beer.

Irish setter blend of coppery amber, and the most burnt of oranges. Aroma is very seasonal with some vanilla, cinnamon, sugar, and clove. Although not spice rimmed it smelled like it. Pumpkin is fleshy and not superficial. Perhaps a light dusting with brown sugar before a slight caramelization. Some apple caramel candies with the drying sensations of cinnamon and allspice. Crisp feel, med-full jelly like body.

Tall cans directly from the brewery yesterday..10/12/18 canning date.
Pours a nice warm shade of mahogany, Light mocha cap, leaves nice looking spotty sheeting.
Malty sniff, with pretty mild pumpkin and fall spice notes.
Malty, smooth, earthy, leafy, again mild pumpkin notes and a just a hint of fall/pumpkin pie spicing.
Nice malty creation from SCBC.

From a growler, it pours cloudy copper gold color with a 1 finger beige colored head that faded slowly left minimal lacing. Smells and tastes like cinnamon and pumpkin, mixed with toasted grains, allspice, brown sugar, faint caramel and booze like dark rum. A hearty fall beer to kick the season off.
