A rather murky vanilla color with orange highlights on the pour. A light an crisp nose with citrus fruit. Nicely hop forward on the initial few sips. Lots of tangy, plush, and citrus hop notes. Notes of plum, peach, grapefruit, orange, and lime. A moderate mouth feel that drinks very juicy. Rather smooth and drinkable for the high abv. A slight off-tasting wet-bag flavor on the finish the more I consume. Nothing totally off-putting but noticeable.

Overall, good but just shy of great.

Pours an opaque orange with a one inch fluffy white head that leaves lots of lacing. Smells predominately of citrus fruits with some tropical notes and a bit of dankness. Tastes of grapefruit, tart orange, pineapple, sweet malts and some floral notes. Very mild bitterness, creamy and lush mouth feel, ABV is very well hidden, soft carbonation.

1/10/19 canning of this triple IPA from Sand City... Pours a golden orange, juice-like color, totally opaque under a coupla fingers of fluffy white head... Head shows nice persistence as a fuzzy film across the top, draping lace sheeting behind... Pungent fruity citrus aromas on the nose suggest orange, grapefruit, pineapple, and stone fruit like apricot and peach... On the sip, plenty of juicy fruit mask the high abv, making for a moderately sweet, barely bitter and slightly tangy beer... Body is soft and smooth, lush and plush - very NEIPA in essence... A solid entry to the style, but I've still gotta say that in this flooded NEIPA market, it doesn't stand out much save for its high abv and local origin...

Canned 01/10/19, it pours cloudy gold/sand color with a 2 finger thick head that was off white colored and packed with tiny bubbles, dissipating very slowly and leaving excellent foamy lacing along the glass. Another great looking Sand City DIPA.

Smells dank and like skunk weed up front, followed by grapefruit, pineapple, orange peel, tangerine, papaya, fresh squeezed orange juice, lots of tropical fruit, light piney notes, funky yeast and wet biscuit. The skunk weed and grapefruit dominate and make it seem like wet hops were used.

Flavor has a mix of citrus fruits, most notably grapefruit, sour orange juice, pineapple and guava. The malt backbone is on the sweet side with biscuit, toasted grains, graham cracker, faint caramel and then floral notes, orange peel, blood orange, tangerine and tea leaf and/or peppery spices. Pretty well balanced for a dry hopped DIPA.

There's a citrus bitterness but no alcohol burn which allows this to go down easier than it should. This is really tasty right now but will get better over the next few weeks. Another solid DIPA from LI's finest.
