-deep orange tap pour with a 1cm foam cap and an orange blossom nose. The flavor is straight juice. There is a strawberry note and moderate hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin. Tasty.

Canned 01/30/19, it pours cloudy orange gold color with a 2 finger foamy off white head that was packed with tiny bubbles, fading very slowly and as usual for a Sand City DIPA it looks great with rings of foamy lacing clinging to the glass as it went down. The can states "Imperial India Pale Ale Double Dry-Hopped with Idaho 7, Mosaic, and Citra." Nice.
Taste is all tangy citrus fruit with grapefruit, lemon, sour orange juice, tangerine, melon, orange peel, hints of pineapple, some floral notes and peppery spices, chalky yeast or dry biscuit, tea leaf, toasted crackers, a sweet spice like brown sugar or cinnamon, and then some piney notes. It fades with more orange juice and tangerine, but seemed to have enough balance from the malt to add complimentary flavors.
Mouthfeel is buttery smooth with mild carbonation, a tangy bitterness that's about right for a DDH DIPA and yet the malty backbone adds balance and helps mask the 8.7% ABV masterfully. Another session-able DIPA from these guys, really tasty and enjoyable overall.
