Pours a cloudy yellow with a fairly well retained head that left spotty lacing. Smell is sour up front with tropical fruits and a hint of salt. Tastes of mango, lime, melon, sea salt and a bit of spice. Taste is not nearly as sour as the smell suggested. Light side of medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry finish.

Served on tap into a goblet at the Sand City Brewery.
A: Pours a cloudy, bright yellow color with an orange or more brown caste, a brief, less than one finger, white head, no retention, or evidence of any real lacing.
S: Very tangy almost to the point of sharp at first whiff. Fruity aromas, mango and melon seem to predominate.
T: Dry. Sourness was so out front, I thought this was a sour sight unseen. Then on second taste, the sourness is virtually gone and resembles a more conventional gose, with the flavors of melon, mango, and lime, as well as a healthy dose of sea saltiness dominating the palate. Bitterness fairly low and in the background.
M: Medium bodied with medium carbonation.
O: An oddly crafted gose. A bit at the edge of the style, but that didn't add. Generally enjoy the style, this one, not so much.

I’m a huge sand city fan boy but their gose game hasn’t improved much. This beer uses twice the amount of fruit as the enough already series which to my untrained palate only means that this brew tastes more like a fruit purée. I prefer more saltiness/pucker-worthiness to my goses but your mileage may vary. A rare miss from this world class IPA factory.
