Pours a hazy orange with a quarter to half inch white head that was well retained and left decent lacing. Smells predominately of citrus fruits followed by some citrus. Tastes of orange, tangerine, lemon, orange zest, pineapple, sweet bready malt, honey and just a hint of pine. Medium bodied, light carbonation, very mild bitterness, creamy mouth feel.

Canned 03/22/19, it has the same good looks of all Sand City DIPA's with a nice orange gold cloudy color, a 1-2 thick off white colored head that was packed with bubbles of all sizes which dissipated slowly and left excellent spider webs of foamy lacing. At this point, if a Sand City IPA doesn't look great then something is terribly wrong.

Tropical aroma includes lemon zest, peach, orange peel, grapefruit and pineapple, mixed with fresh cut grass, caramel, toasted grains, brown sugar and fruity candy like Razzles. Complex with plenty of soft citrus notes, this is well balanced and gives off wet hopped accents.

Tastes like it smells with lemon zest, peach, orange peel, grapefruit and pineapple, then came the fresh cut grass, piney notes, caramel, tea leaf, tangerine, light guava, grapefruit juice, biscuit, honey soaked toasted grains and buttery bread. The aftertaste is a mix of orange peel, tangerine, honey and graham cracker, finishing more malty than the initial sips that seemed hop dominant.

Mouthfeel is average to above average in every way, with mild carbonation, a light bitterness and a smooth feel that resembles fresh squeezed orange juice minus the pulp. No alcohol comes through, but it seems a bit thin for a DIPA. The aftertaste is as malty as it is hoppy, which trailed off in a pleasant way.
