Canned 03/28/19, it pours cloudy gold color with a solid 2 finger foamy off-white colored head that had plenty of bubbles in the head which faded very, very slowly and left excellent foamy rings as it went down.
Smells of grapefruit, lemon zest, tangerine, orange peel, melon, faint pineapple, fresh cut grass, weed, biscuit, lightly toasted grains, hints of caramel and toasted bread with butter. It has the dry hopped essence with strong citrus hops and those earthy aspects that come off as grassy, piney and/or floral. Nice to breath in.
Tastes of orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, tangerine, biscuit, toasted grains, buttery bread crust, light peppery spices, floral hops, passion fruit, graham cracker, salt and earthy notes. The sweetness and mild bitterness help mask the 8.7% ABV, and this brew has a lot more sweet malt presence than most Sand City DIPA's. Well balanced and easy to drink, another great collaboration out of Northport.
