Collaboration with Great Notion Brewing
Brewed with an explosive amount of chocolate, vanilla, & espresso powder, & with a hint of milk sugar to give it that dessert feel.

Had on tap at the brewery. Pours black with a thin ring of tan head that left spotty lacing. Smells and tastes of roasted malts, semisweet chocolate, cocoa powder, dark roast coffee, vanilla, toffee and marshmallow. Taste has a mild lactose sweetness that makes this an outstanding dessert beer. Full bodied, light carbonation, creamy and chewy mouth feel.

Had this on 5/20 at the brewery. I didn't pour but when I got it it showed a minimal mocha colored head that never stopped lacing the glass. Unmistakable roasty nose with the flavor following suit along with perfectly balanced sweetness. Nicely viscous with appropriately clandestine carbonation. My favorite (stout) from Sand City.

Canned 04/04/19, it pours black as night with a massive 2+ finger thick brown colored head that was packed with microscopically small bubbles, the head dissipating very slowly and leaving excellent spotty lacting coating the sides.
Smells of s'mores, charred wood, dark chocolate, burnt coffee grinds, cocoa powder, molasses, peat moss, syrup, black licorice, piney hops and brownie batter. No booze in the nose, but the chocolate and lactose give it lots of nice body.
Rich, thick and malty, this has a chocolate and vanilla sweetness before the char, smoked grains and sweet malts kick in to bring toffee, burnt coffee grinds, mild soy sauce, caramel, toffee, butterscotch, peat moss, smoked malts, cocoa powder and maple syrup. It's sticky sweet with that chocolate syrup feel mixed with charred wood, piney hops and campfire smoke. The grains are like salted caramel and nuts cooked with brown sugar, leaving a minor bitterness and a smooth mouthfeel that flowed down easy even though this was a thick, manly imperial stout. Very enjoyable overall.
