Canned 04/26/19, it pours cloudy gold color with 2 finger thick eggshell colored head that faded slowly and left very nice foamy lacing and rings as it slid down. Better legs than I expected since it has such high ABV at 10.5%. Smells like orange juice, lime, orange Starburst candy, clementine, grapefruit juice, apricot, fresh cut grass, biscuit, caramel, flowers and/or floral hops that gave off peppery spices, faint piney notes, guava, orange juice and graham cracker. Really well balanced and it hides the ABV, this has so much juicy orange going on that it borders on confusing in a good way.
Flavor is dank and juicy with a sweetness that's driven by the malt backbone, the high ABV, the mix of citrus and tropical fruits which tie in all the complexities and make it work. In addition to the orange, grapefruit, lime, tangerine and lemon, this brew had tart green sour apple, guava, pineapple, graham cracker, sweet sugary candy like Razzles or Skittles, tea leaf, peppery spices and dry floral notes. A lot of citrus hop characteristics all hit the taste buds at the same time and make this interesting in each sip.
05/22/19-Had another can and it seems to have gotten danker with more juicy flavors like kiwi and apricot, as well as more biscuit like a buttery croissant. Mouthfeel is even smoother than I remember and this bad boy improved with a month of aging. Raised the "Feel" and "Overall" scores from 4.25 to 4.5, which pushed the "Rating" up from 4.25 to 4.33.
